For those of you who haven't heard our crazy story of how we were finally able to get this home under contract, the story is as follows:
Jason and I saw a home we liked and made an offer on it and it fell through. So our realtor showed this house to us and we loved it!!! It was what we wanted. It was a forclosed home that was going to go on the market so we put an offer in before it was put on the market. We had to wait two and a half weeks to find out our offer was rejected. So the next weekend our realtor took us on a day of hard house hunting. We saw about 12 homes and they all started to look the same. Only two stood out to me but I wasn't WOWed. Then a forclosed home just went on the market and Jason and I made on offer on it because we liked it the best of all the homes we saw besides this home. Then the next Monday after we made the big house hunt and made our offer our realtor called us and said that the offer we made on the house we saw that weekend before accepted our offer but also the offer on the house we loved fell through and now the bank accepted our offer for it. So of course we accepted both because the bank wouldn't give us a contract on the house we loved until we inspected it. So once we had the home inspected we got out of our contract with the other home "because we didn't like the carpet" LOL. But the bank was a little slow on issuing our contract until just last week (which was two weeks after the inspection). So now we are just waiting for our closing date which is the 25th. What an ordeal!!! I don't think I want to do all this waiting and looking again. Talk about learning patience.
But I know once we move in the work is just beginning. I have no idea how I will survive with a hyperactive two year-old and a needy baby. I guess I'll have to grow up.
It is funny how when you are younger you always looked up to the big kids and couldn't wait to grow up because the big kids were always cool and had fun. Now I have Peter Pan syndrome and reminisce about the days of no responsibility.
