Diagnosis

So many of you still know that Jaden is still not talking. And I've received much help from friends and family. My sister-in-law Jenny suggested a book called The Einstein Syndrome: Bright Children Who Talk Late. It is an interesting study about brilliant kids who talk late. Sadly enough one of the criteria for the kids to be possibly be considered brilliant is that the parents or immediate family are brilliant people with PhD s or are computer science engineers. So obviously Jaden doesn't apply to that criteria. But if he were Jenny's kid he just might be brilliant.

So this past week I took him to the doctor telling him about Jaden's lack of words and (explosive) behavior problems. The doctor did a couple of tests and then turned to me and said that they have a term for Jaden's condition. I of course was very interested. He said, "Jaden is what we call in the medical field a "Big Stinker."

So my suspicions were confirmed and documented. Jaden is indeed a Big Stinker. We were also recommended some speech therapists which I hope will help.

Whatever. Your doctor sounds like a quack. Remember who has a PhD here? I officially diagnose Jaden with Brilliant Child Syndrome. Probably because he has two brilliant parents
